Welcome to my online shop.

 I have been working with clay since 1974. I started working with wood a long time before that; it seemed the natural thing to combine those skills.

I use found, reclaimed and discarded wood, much of it given by friends who know I can find a good use for it. It encourages me to be more creative and often the rough nature of the timber makes the perfect partner for the hand built, wood fired ceramics that I make. Sometimes there are interesting back stories to the wood that I am given.

It may be several months before I find the right piece of wood to complete the boxes for which I am becoming well known.

Each one is individual and unique.

The pots shown are fired in a wood kiln, making each piece unique and as such there may be variation in the surface on each side. I have shown multiple views so that it is possible to zoom in to see the intricate details and characteristics and I am sure you will be delighted.

We will aim to despatch within two days of confirmation of payment for UK addresses by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which is usually delivered the within 48hours. We are happy to send to some overseas addresses, this usually takes longer and may involve VAT and customs costs from the country of delivery. From December 13th 2024 we are unable to ship to Europe due to new EU rules.

Whilst we welcome sales from other countries, please be aware that there may be VAT and customs costs charged to the customer by the recipient country. We do not have precise information, so all sales to foreign countries may incur fees payable upon delivery. We cannot accept liablity for these costs.

We try to use as much recycled and recyclable packaging as possible.

Visitors are always welcome to view the pots and buy at the studio by prior appointment.

Should you be unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may send the item back and we will offer a refund upon safe return.

In this instance postage will be paid for by the purchaser and we ask that you contact us within 14 days of the date of order before returning any item.  The item must be then be returned to us within 14 days and received in good condition. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item has been used or damaged in any way.

Of course we are sure you will be delighted with your new purchase.

We aim to fire our kiln three or four times each year, so please look out for new additions to the online shop.
